Prestbury Tundra Tree

I love snow and I love trees, snow and trees (without foliage) is a dream subject for any black and white or monochrome obsessed photographer. A beautifully satisfying combination of shape and light. This image has been treated with a paper texture layer, I like to work with this technique at the moment as It enables a certain control over contrast which is more 'photographic' than simple adjustment of levels in Photoshop. I also like the way it has added texture to the sky.
