The Cage at Lyme Park

The Cage, Lyme Park, Cheshire - A very notable local landmark that is visible from much of east Cheshire and the Derbyshire Peak to the east. It was once infamously used as a lockup for illegal poachers caught - literally - red-handed on the estate, many ghost stories have permeated through the mists of time and the location today (for me) still has a slightly sombre and eerie atmosphere about it.
